Unknown – April 2nd 1977

IMG_0637

Very little is known of this victim, so I will simply tell you what this article says:

A woman between the age of 18 and 25 is found on April 2nd, 1977 wrapped in a green and white blanket in some woods next to chemin du Lac in Longueuil. Investigating officers are Denis Beule and Gilles Poirier of the Longueuil police. The corner is Claude Pothel from SQ Parthenais. Cause of death is undetermined.

Analysis

  1. Chemin du Lac, Longueuil: where have we heard that before? That’s where Sharron Prior was found.
  2. Sharron Prior was found on chemin du Lac on April 1, 1975, Unknown is found on chemin du Lac April 2, 1977: Almost exactly two years to the day another victim is found on chemin du Lac? No one found this odd?
  3. Again, we have a wooded area. (Prior, Choquette, Camirand)
  4. Claude Pothel, coroner: where have we heard that name before? Well that’s the same coroner who performed the autopsy on Louise Camirand the previous week, when Louise Camirand was found, March 25th, 1977

Now let’s zoom out from this picture:

Well look here.

The article to the left is talking about the cases of Louise Camirand and the recent death of Jocelyne Houle (we will get to Jocelyne in my next post), and a possible connection.

And there is our old friends Fernand Yelle and Normand Vien from the Montreal SQ. Both were assigned to the O’Brien / Fisher  cases, now apparently also assigned to Houle.

The scribbled-out marks over “Unknown”?

I didn’t make those. They were either made by journalists or police.

But what is it that separates these crimes (either than separate boxes on a newspaper page, either than scribbles)?

Police jurisdictions.  Unknown and Prior are Longueuil crimes.  Camirand and Houle are Surete du Quebec murders.

So when Houle turned up dead police were thinking about a connection to Camirand, but not to Prior or another woman who turns up in the same place? Why was that? Because the cases were in separate police portfolios?

Do you think a serial predator cares about police jurisdictions? Do you really think his impulses are governed by enforcement boundaries?

Longeueil police.

Surete du Quebec.

Cooperate.

  1. Looks like marked signs of bruising on the right rear side of her neck next the cover, suggesting – manual strangulation.

Since she has never been identified, has anyone bothered to photo check with the Americans or out of province police?

  2. dear mr Allore, you’re a very courageous, truthful man,but i wonder if you’re not hurting yourself by thinking all the time about those horrible crimes, maybe those thoughts instill poison in yourself,.I repeat, what you’re doing is extremely touching,it takes a beautiful soul to do what you do since such a long time and your poor sister would be proud of you, but, like i said, beware of poisoning yourself. All the same, like i said, you’re a remarkable person,i hope the truth be unveiled as soon as possible…..May God bless you…

  3. This website gives the impression that I am obsessed with this matter, that it consumes me. Consider this: It is a very deliberate attempt to focus a conversation around a series of unsolved murders in the late 1970s in Quebec.

My private life is something that I keep for myself. My children, my passions, my hobbies are off-limits (with the occasional exception).

My quality of life is excellent. I simply feel a responsibility to ALSO not forgive or forget the past.

So while I appreciate the concern, Pierre, I can assure you that my mental heath is something I always consider, and always keep as the most important priority.

    Regards,

    John Allore

  4. Sharron Prior was found along with two other victims, and no body can find any clues to whom did this? We need a Columbo, because all murders there is always a clue, if you look.

  5. Once again this is brought to my eyes to read, I have spoke to many police & detectives, about these poor women, (Please) don’t give up looking, I am not family, friend, I live in Ontario, but I feel bad for their family’s. So I ask you to keep on looking, I am 81yrs old, & I wish you well.
