in the previous episode, you asked why shoes would be found away from the body. If the deceased ran away, or was chased, and lost a shoe, the murderer may have thought it necessary to find the missing shoe/shoes in order not to leave evidence scattered. After finding said shoe,he may have changed his mind, deciding the location of the shoes didn’t matter and discarded the shoes.
