Unsettling news for an already jittery Montreal public

Un résidant du Plateau Mont-Royal a fait une macabre découverte en allant chercher ses pneus d’hiver dans le garage de son immeuble, dimanche matin. L’homme, en ouvrant la porte, a eu la surprise de découvrir le cadavre d’une femme allongé sur le sol. La police a immédiatement été appelée dans le garage de l’immeuble résidentiel de l’avenue de L’Esplanade, près de la rue Marie-Anne, à l’extrême ouest du Plateau Mont-Royal. Même si la dépouille ne portait pas de marques de violence, les enquêteurs traitent l’affaire comme une mort suspecte pour l’instant. —————————————- MONTREAL – Montreal police are investigating the death of a woman in her 20s who was discovered in a garage in the city’s Plateau Mont-Royal area. The woman was covered with a blanket when she was discovered by a man who had access to the garage, police said Sunday. Montreal police Const. Raphael Bergeron said the death is being considered suspicious until an exact cause is determined. He said the woman may have been homeless and had been seeking shelter in the garage. Police have not identified the woman and said there were no marks of violence on her body.
